Martingly “Gly” Nelson, a versatile figure based in Tampa, Florida, wears many hats—writer, poet, and philanthropic entrepreneur. Born in 1993 to a missionary family in Haiti, his life is a story of humble beginnings and strong faith.

Graduating from the University of South Florida in 2017, he embarked on his literary journey. His first published book, “Lyrical Therapy: Dynamic Perspectives,” was released in 2019. Martingly’s goal is to empower readers to find strength in their vulnerabilities and inspire others, particularly the youth.

Beyond writing, he ventured into scriptwriting, adapting “Lyrical Therapy” into the short film “Therapy: The FILM.” This marked his directorial and producorial debut. The film, produced in 2022, is set to release in spring 2024, promising to captivate audiences with its cinematic portrayal of the book’s themes. Martingly’s creative journey is a testament to the power of storytelling and his dedication to uplifting others through his work.
